FTSC Board of Directors Meeting
Thursday May 7, 2009

1612 Café@Results

Members in Attendance: Bill, Colleen, Amanda, Dennis and Sami

Members Absent: Jim, Emily

There were no Non Board Members present.

Call to Order at 7:10 pm

I. Volunteers

•	We have three volunteers signed up for the PRIDE booth
•	Amanda will contact IGLFA volunteers to see if they are interested in volunteering for PRIDE
•	Jim will be there, along with Bill and Amanda, to set up in the morning
•	Sami will lead the closing shift

II. Financials

•	FTSC has $5499.61 in the bank
•	This includes $1300 of reimbursements
•	This also includes $5000 loaned to the IGLFA tournament which should be repaid to the clug
•	IGLFA recently made $8000 from the silent auction
•	A discussion ensued over suspending teams who fail to pay their league fees. It was agreed to table this discussion until team managers could be consulted. The final proposal was to suspend a team if fewer than 15 out of 20 players have not paid for the previous season. Bill agreed to contact team managers about this prior to a vote next month.
•	A discussion also ensued concerning Board approval of club expenditures. It was voted that any purchase of an item under $100 requires two Board member signatures but not a full vote of the Board. Any purchase over $100 requires approval of the Board by a 2/3 majority.
•	During both aforementioned discussions, Board bylaws were questioned. It was determined that there are no stipulation governing voting in Board meetings. Eight members are required to vote in general (Full club) meetings.

III. Rehoboth

•	Everything is on target for the Solero reservation. Second half of the bill will be paid September 1st.
•	The cost for Rehoboth is increasing slightly.Field rental is slightly higher, 5 Js port a pottie rental is slightly higher. FTSC is not increasing its fees.
•	The opening party location has yet to be booked, Planet X and Double L are being considered. Bill will contact Double L.
•	PRIDE volunteers should collect items to be inserted into Rehoboth bags
•	Dennis will email a contact from the Philly club to determine an alternative to Active.com
•	We currently have seven referees
•	The Board approved paying the initial fees for two houses in Rehoboth. Colleen will begin working on this.
•	Bill will be contacting the 5 J’s (302-945-7086) to secure two port-a-potties to be there Saturday and Sunday of the tournament
•	Colleen will work with Andy to get the Active.com site up and working for registration (depending on Dennis’ results from his discussion with Manuela of the Falcons)
•	Referees: Colleen will work with them; contacting Kevin Anderson, Peter Kestler, Kap, JC, Charles Carson, and Glenn
•	Awards: Sami will present info soon
•	Housing: the board re-discussed the issue of whether or not to get two houses paid for by the club (later to be filled by tournament attendees)– support was still in favor of the two houses
