Capital Pride Volunteers Needed

Capital Pride is fast approaching on Sunday, June 9. We’ll be needing volunteers to staff our booth plus we’ve also volunteered to help run TeamDC’s wine and beer concession. So we’ll need lots of help throughout the day. Pride is one of our biggest recruiting and visibility events for the year. Please help us make it another success. If you can help out contact Sami.

TeamDC Casino Night Poker Dealers needed

The Rehoboth Beach Organizing Committee is looking for a Poker Dealer for the TeamDC Casino Night. The more people we get to this event the more money we raise for the tournament. Contact Andy for more info or to volunteer.

Food and Friends Volunteers needed

Please join FTSC in a community volunteer event with Food & Friends. Food & Friends serves individuals living in the Greater DC area living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, or other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling. The event will be on Saturday, May 18th starting at 9am. We will be delivering meals to individuals living in the District of Columbia, so please let me know if you are able to bring a car and drive, or if you would just like to ride along. FTSC members should have received an evite invitation. If you are not a member and would like to receive an invitation, please email Jonathan at MusicEcon@gmail.com.

Friday Night Lights Returns

Our monthly Friday night pick up is back for 2013 starting this week! Join us at a new venue for us, Bundy Playground at 429 O St NW in NoMA on Friday, April 26 from 7-8:30PM. It’s a lighted Field Turf soccer field so it should be better than Stead without any extra lines like Bell. Parking is on the street. Nearest Metro appears to be Mt. Vernon Sq on the yellow/green lines at 7th and M.

Bring a WHITE shirt AND a dark COLORED shirt (no greys or pastels). Cost is $5 for non-members to help pay for the field. Free for members.

The series will continue on the last Friday of the month until October (except August we will move up a week to avoid conflicting with Rehoboth).

Discount DC United Tickets

Once again this year our friends at DC United are offering us discount tickets to their matches.

FTSC Bowling Night

Philly Liberty Bell Classic Tournament

Our friends in Philly are once again hosting their Memorial Day “Rehoboth-style” tournament. Registration is open now. Everyone registers as an individual and players are placed together in small squads that are mixed and matched throughout the weekend’s games. It’s a fun format and a great way to meet new people.
