Why Donate?

The Washington Federal Triangles Soccer Club is a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit. In other words, it is funded by people like you and our dues-paying members. 100% of your donation goes to advancing soccer and soccer training/education for the LGBT community and supporters of LGBT people in the DC Metro area. Your charitable donation is greatly appreciated; in the event you also wish to become a member of the club please click on our “Join” page.

Your donation will allow us to continue to provide soccer programs and charity events enabling us to give back to the very community that supports us. We are contacted daily by players, supporters, and in some cases youth looking for a community where they are accepted for who they are and their soccer talents.

 

Memorial or honorary donations

Donations to The Washington Federal Triangles Soccer Club are occasionally made in honor of someone’s birthday, wedding, civil union, or other special occasion. We also receive donations in memory of a player or devoted soccer fan whom we have lost. Donations of these types can be made with any of the above methods. And, if you would like us to inform the honoree or honoree’s family of your donation, please provide it either with the donation or in an email to the Treasurer.

The Washington Federal Triangles Soccer Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

 

Tax Donation Receipt Letter

FTSC appreciates your donation.  Thank you for helping us to provide soccer, educational, and charitable efforts to the LGBT community and our allies in the DC Metro area.  FTSC is a small volunteer non-profit and will make every effort to thank you for your donation.  In the event that you donate more than $250 in a single donation (not calculated in the aggregate) and wish to obtain a receipt letter for proof to the IRS of your tax deductible donation, please email FTSC’s Treasurer at the Treasurer before December 31st requesting such letter.  FTSC’s Treasurer will send you an acknowledgement letter before January 31st.

Many States require charities soliciting funds within a State to register with the State agency responsible for regulating charities.  Currently FTSC only solicits funds through the internet (by someone searching for the club) and the District of Columbia. We are exploring the regulations with various state requirements of those surrounding  the District of Columbia.

The club financial statements are available to only club members upon 5 days written request notice.  The club’s IRS Form 990s are available to the public at large upon written request.  All requests should be mailed to:
